The health and security of the people working for Construction Sorel Ltée and its partners is a priority for the company’s directors as well as for the construction site personnel. It is for this reason that Construction Sorel Ltée hired, many years ago, a permanent health/safety coordinator in charge of enforcing the security norms and laws on the sites and appointed to the prevention of the workers’ physical well-being.

The coordinator is fully paid by the company and that shows how important the workers’ health and safety is to them.

Even though Construction Sorel Ltée has been working as a contractor for many years, the company still offers high levels of service in concrete installation. Construction Sorel Ltée specializes in:

Health and Safety Policy

Construction Sorel Ltée aims for perfection in terms of health and safety in everything the company is involved. That is why it values the prevention of work-related injuries and seeks the ultimate goal of “zero incidents”.

It is demanded of all workers and subcontractors that they participate actively where their health and safety at work is concerned.

In order to help them do so, Construction Sorel Ltée set up the following goals:

  • Meet the requirements stated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (COHS);
  • Enforce the Construction Safety Code;
  • Respect the requirements and meet the objectives of the clients’ prevention program;
  • Promote and foster safety in all aspects related to project implementation;
  • Plan control and verification procedures as well as training programs to make sure that all activities comply with this policy;
  • Encourage an early and safe return to work after an injury by assigning temporary duties.

ISO 9001 : 2008 Certified

Quality work and management used to be advantages Construction Sorel Ltée offered to its clients but now, these two qualities have become the company’s trademark.

Construction Sorel Ltée is now ISO 9001: 2008 certified as of fall 2009 and that clearly illustrates where the company and its directors want to go and how important it is to them to keep on improving and offering a high level of service to their clients.
